Sorrows, drowned

Too often I approach
and try to correct
today's problems
.
Depending on a bottle
of any proof or sort
who gives a damn
.
As long as it will smooth
the tiresome days wrinkles
I want to forget

These three words were perfect for you.

"As long as it will smooth

How I wish...

bag and baggage

We were definitely thinking along the same lines, but with a different outcome!

Approach with care...instead of leaps, and those wrinkles might be forgotten forever...very nice.

Drinking will never take out the wrinkles though... =)

a couple of years ago i took to drinking often at night alone,, but i quit ,, all it was doing was squelching my ability to dream... and i love dreaming......

very nice for a quickie..

A bit of the drink taken. Short and soothing going down.

"some drink to remember/some drink to forget"

interesting poem that speaks of a sort of defeatist emotion.

This really touched me because of my father's alcoholism.
Intense use of the words this week.

I never understood drinking away problems much, but I liked the way your words flowed here.

Surely a definitive poem! I feel the angst. Nice!

Seems like the wrinkles only get more complex the next day. Nicely done.
