a couple of years ago i took to drinking often at night alone,, but i quit ,, all it was doing was squelching my ability to dream... and i love dreaming......
These three words were perfect for you.
ReplyDelete"As long as it will smooth
ReplyDeletethe tiresome days wrinkles
I want to forget"

Approach with care...instead of leaps, and those wrinkles might be forgotten forever...very nice.

ReplyDeleteIntense use of the words this week.
I never understood drinking away problems much, but I liked the way your words flowed here.
ReplyDeleteSurely a definitive poem! I feel the angst. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI understand wanting to forget too well
ReplyDeletesome days... a smooth taste is just enough.. of course, one does not get carried away... i thought you spoke well....
ReplyDeleteas long as you're not forgetting all of life then, why not? your poem as always is a good one. thanks for sharing. have a nice night.
